Year 10 Parent Evening

A Course Counselling Information Evening for Year 10 parents & students will be held at LSHS in the  Library on Wednesday 14 June from 6:00 pm.

The course selection process for Year 11, 2018 will be explained. There will be guest presenters from South Metropolitan TAFE and the Universities.

WA Education Awards 2016

WA Education Awards 2016

As part of the WA Education Awards, we are asking parents and students to tell us who makes a difference in their schools. Parents and students can now vote for their favourite teacher, principal or support staff member and give them a chance to win $1000.

The staff member who receives the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Award at the WA Education Awards presentation event on 28 November.

All school staff who receive a vote will be acknowledged in The West Australian on World Teacher’s Day on 28 October 2016.

Parents and students can vote now at:
Voting closes at 5.00pm on 23 September 2016.

Sustainability Week

This week is Sustainability Week, some of the sctivities planned are:
Adopt a spot – TAG groups will keep an area of school clean for three weeks and win a prize.
Tuesday at recess students debating each other in the drama room. Tuesday at lunchtime – students will see if they can out talk Mr Vyse, Mr Sawyer and Miss Annear in a student vs teacher debate.
Wednesday: check out the library during breaks to see the Sustainability Display and the cute little mini beasts.
Thursday is the much awaited Recycled Fashion Parade day. Students will strut their stuff in our annual recycled fashion parade. Friday is Expo day with lots of interesting stalls in the Gym. Learning area sculptures, birds of prey, reptiles, Everyday Leader, a range of environmental groups and a chance to contribute to a school sculpture.
Students can visit in class time with their teachers or come down at recess or lunchtime.
