The Society & Environment Learning Area focuses on Historical, Economic, Geographical and general Social Issues for both the past and the present. It is a compulsory subject that all Year 8 to 10 students must complete. Topics covered over the three years include:

  • Aboriginal Culture
  • Law
  • The Holocaust
  • Anzac Day
  • Global Warming
  • Racism

As a social living subject it involves students in:

  • Excursions
  • Incursions
  • Debate
  • Discussions

In Upper School the Society and Environment Learning Area offers a range of subjects to Tertiary bound students including:

  • Economics
  • Geography
  • History

It also offers Aspects of Tourism and Practical Geography

As part of Active Citizenship the Society & Environment Department coordinates the World Vision 40 Hour Famine and also coordinates the sponsorship of a World Vision child from Cambodia
