Lynwood Senior High School has an exciting and enthusiastic Chess Club, which meets most lunchtimes to play chess.

The Club is open to all students and staff from beginners to experts and there is keen competition to participate in Chess Association of WA (CAWA) interschool tournaments, school chess play-offs and Fastest-Finger-First challenges.

The school also has some outdoor chess pieces so students can still enjoy playing chess when they want a break from indoor games.

Chess is proven to improve memory and IQ, promote better brain function, including problem-solving skills, increase creativity, improve concentration and even reading skills!

What a bonus for any student to join our Lynwood Chess Club! We are always happy to welcome new players.
